The Dryopteris affinis group, or aggregate, contains four species in Britain and Ireland: affinis, borreri, cambrensis and pseudodisjuncta. D. pseudodisjuncta has only recently been found in Britain. Two other species not known from these islands also form part of this group: D. schorapensis and D. pontica.
